Back Story:
On the planet Trayon, Malik was the master of Light and Earth attacks. He protected Prince Deon like a little brother and a close friend. 7000 years later on Earth, Malik was revived with the Galaxy Ninja Warriors and he was the first Solar Ninja to fight. He started a crusade of fighting all over the world and he moved to Japan when he was 11 years old. He then started working with the Galaxy Ninja Warriors just as the Solar Ninjas were being revived.
Malik Howard also known as Ninja Taurus; is like the pseudo leader of the team. His goal is to protect Earth in the shadows while Ninja Sun is being reawakened. Malik was inspired by one of my very good friends from high school due to his calm, chilled and friendly personality. I created Ninja Taurus in 1998 after speaking to my friend Prentiss; the purpose of Ninja Taurus is the pride of the team as he brings the life to the team. Funny, happy and goofy Malik is like the class clown of the friends and he’s also a great student. On Trayon Malik was in charge of keeping Deon safe and watching over the prince.
My inspiration for Ninja Taurus came from when I was writing the story I approached Prentiss and asked him would he like to be a part of the story; he said yes. Development of Ninja Taurus which he is the fifth member of the team came as a complex situation. I had to think of his powers and what his colors would be; I decided to go with orange and his powers are light based. Coming up with his personality was pretty easy because of how laid back and calm my friend is. During school he and I use to walk and talk as we headed to class; I wanted Malik to do that as well. The parallel between the two is almost uncanny; Prentiss has always been a funny and reserved guy. Mailk is the same however he can be a little ditzy and scatter brain.
Malik has been one of the most aware of the dangers within the team. He took a trip to the Caribbean for the summer as he tries to rest up from becoming Ninja Taurus. While he is resting up he sees a monster attacking the tourist on the beach as his parents runs for cover. Once his family was safe; he transformed and went on to take on the monster. Ninja Taurus saved countless people as he began to take on the threat.
Ninja Taurus had a grueling battle with the monster to the point he was injured. Once he defeated the monster he was found untransformed face down in the sand. His parents and the paramedics rushed him to the emergency room; were he was just knocked out but would survive. Once the vacation was over Malik returned to Japan and; transferred from his old school to the school that Deon, Anthony, Ryan and Lawrence all attend; help to keep an eye on the guys until it’s their time to be reawakened. But he tries to keep his identity concealed until Deon is returned as Ninja Sun.
Ninja Taurus undergoes a ritual called the Reunification ceremony which it was suppose to unify the team but created new powers and suits.
